Trinidad and Tobago Weather: Flood waters slowly subsiding
Here’s a look at today’s weather, courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service:
Today, mostly sunny and breezy conditions will be interrupted at times by cloudy periods with the medium chance of light to moderate showers or rain in few areas. There is the low to medium chance of the heavier shower or thunderstorm in some areas. The night will be mostly fair despite the odd shower.
Riverine Flood Warning #5 – Orange Level is in effect.
Flood waters are subsiding slowly in affected locations of southern Trinidad, however, few areas remain inundated with flood waters, particularly along low lying areas in the vicinity of elevated watercourses.
Spring tides and additional rainfall are expected to occasionally slow the recession of flood waters but the general improvement of the flood situation is expected over the next few days.
Caution: Gusty winds, street/flash flooding are likely near heavy showers and thunderstorms.
