Trinidad and Tobago's weather: 60% chance of thundershowers

The public is advised to watch out for showers in various parts of the country, according to an early morning forecast from the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service. 

Here’s a look at today’s weather:

Trinidad and Tobago:

A predominantly sunny morning with slight haze will become partly cloudy during the late morning to afternoon period with light to moderate showers in varying locations.

There is the 60% (medium) chance that these showers may become heavy and develop into thunderstorms in a few areas.

Tonight will be mostly clear despite the odd shower.

Caution: Street flooding and gusty winds are likely near heavy downpours/thunderstorms.


The remainder of the Lesser Antilles

Generally hot and sunny despite the odd shower in few areas. Nighttime will be mostly clear and cool.

Seas are slight to moderate with waves up to 1.5 metres in open waters and below one metre I sheltered areas.
