Trinidad and Tobago's weather: Cloudy with light showers

A passing tropical wave could mean scattered showers for parts of Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, according to an update from the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service.

The Met Office said in a social media update on Monday that the combination of a tropical wave and an ITCZ )Inter-tropical Convergence Zone) might result in early morning showers.

Here’s a look at today’s weather, courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service:

Trinidad, Tobago and the Windward Islands

Long cloudy intervals interspersed with some light to moderate showers or rain.

There is a low to medium chance (30% to 60%) some of these showers could become heavy and or thundery and accompanied by gusty winds. Conditions should improve significantly by late evening.

Nighttime: Mostly settled except for the odd brief lingering shower.

The remainder of the Lesser Antilles

Long sunny and hazy periods interrupted at times by brisk light showers. Nighttime: Most clear and warm.
