Trinidad and Tobago's weather: High chance of showers

Trinidad and Tobago could be in for its first heavy thundershower for the year.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service said in its forecast for Thursday that there is a high (70 percent) chance of showers and possibly a thundershower (20 percent).

Here's a look at the weather, courtesy the Met Office:

Partly cloudy to cloudy and at times breezy conditions are expected with the 70% (high) chance of light to moderate showers from late morning into the afternoon.

There is the 20% (low) chance of isolated heavier showers or the isolated thunderstorm favouring southern Trinidad.

Conditions would gradually settle by evening giving way to a mostly fair night despite the odd shower.

The Windward Islands

Partly cloudy conditions with light to moderate showers in varying areas are expected. Patchy cloudiness would persist into the night with a few showers expected.

The remainder of the Lesser Antilles:

Generally sunny conditions are expected despite the low chance of the isolated shower. The night would be mostly clear.
