Trinidad and Tobago's weather: Hot with brief showers

High temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius are forecast today, along with the low chance of isolated showers. 

Here’s a look at today’s weather courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service’s update at 6:17 am:

Trinidad, Tobago and the Southern Windwards

A hot, sunny and hazy day is expected despite a few brief showers at times.

There is a 30% (low) chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms during the afternoon favouring western coastal areas of Trinidad.

Tonight will be mostly clear.

Gusty winds, street/flash flooding are likely near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

The Northern Windward & Leeward Islands

Hot, sunny and hazy conditions will be interrupted by cloudy spells during the afternoon, accompanied by few showers and a 40% (medium) chance of isolated thunderstorms. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a few intermittent showers.

Seas are slight with waves up to 1.2 metres in open waters and near calm in sheltered areas.
