Trinidad and Tobago's weather: Light to moderate showers

There’s a chance of light to moderate showers today and the public are is urged to monitor weather forecasts.

Here’s a look at today’s weather courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service:

Trinidad & the Leewards

Fair to partly cloudy and hazy, becoming cloudy at times with light to moderate showers and low to medium chance of the heavy shower or isolated thunderstorm during the afternoon. Tonight will be mostly fair. Gusty winds, street and/or flash flooding can occur in areas under heavy showers and thunderstorms.


Tobago and the Remainder of the Lesser Antilles

Mainly fair and hazy.



Trinidad: 32’C

Tobago: 32’C



Seas are slight to moderate with waves up to 1.5 metres in open waters and near one metre but occasionally choppy at times in sheltered areas.


CAUTION: Long period northerly swells can affect the near coastal areas on the Northern and sheltered sides of the islands over the next few days. Sea bathers and persons with near shore marine activities are advised to exercise caution.
