Trinidad and Tobago's weather: Look out for showers in the North

Watch out for scattered showers in the northern half of Trinidad, says the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service in today's forecast.

Here’s a look at today’s weather:

Partly cloudy/cloudy by late morning with periods of heavy showers and thunderstorms favouring the Northern half of Trinidad.

The evening and night are expected to be mostly settled despite the lingering shower.

Gusty winds and street/flash flooding can occur near heavier showers or thunderstorms!

Remainder of the Lesser Antilles

Partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and few thunderstorms especially from the afternoon.

The Met Office is monitoring a tropical wave which is due to affect the Lesser Antilles from Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

Seas are slight but moderate near the Windward and North Leeward islands.

Waves are up to one metre, and between two and 2.5 five metres near the Windward and North Leeward islands, in open waters and near calm, but choppy near showers, in sheltered areas.
