Trinidad and Tobago's weather: Low chance of showers, thundershowers

Here's a look at today's weather, courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service:
A sunny and hazy morning is expected however, cloudiness will increase from midday onwards with the high (70%) chance of light to moderate showers occurring in varying areas.
There is the low (30%) chance of heavier showers or thunderstorms in few areas during the late afternoon. Conditions will improve overnight however some showers will linger.
Street/ flash flooding and gusty winds may accompany heavier showers or thunderstorms.
Leewards and Northern Windwards
The leading area of cloudiness associated with Tropical Storm Beryl will begin affecting the area. Showers will occur in broad areas and storm force winds, cloudiness, precipitation and thunderstorm activity will increase as the system encroaches the islands. Conditions will deteriorate further during the late evening and into the night.
Seas are moderate and occasionally rough with waves up to 2.5 metres in the Windwards but up to three metres in the Leewards, in open waters. In sheltered areas, waves will be around one metre but becoming choppy. Persons with marine interests should exercise caution.
