Trinidad and Tobago's weather: Medium chance of heavy showers

Here’s a look at today’s weather, courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service:
Generally hot and sunny conditions will be interrupted at times by few partly cloudy to cloudy spells with light to moderate showers.
There is the medium (40 to 60%) chance of heavier showers and thunderstorms in some areas.
The night will be mostly clear and cool. Gusty winds and street flooding likely in the vicinity of heavier showers or thunderstorms.
The remainder of the Lesser Antilles
Fair to partly cloudy with showers in few areas. The night will be mostly clear despite the odd shower.
Seas are slight to moderate with waves between one and 1.5 metres in open waters and below one metre and occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.

Long period northerly swells can affect the near coastal areas on the Northern and sheltered sides of the islands over the next few days. Sea bathers and persons with near shore marine activities are advised to exercise caution
