Trinidad and Tobago's weather: More showers ahead

Here’s a look at today’s weather, courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service at 6.19 am:

Partly cloudy conditions are expected with spells of light to moderate showers or rain occurring in varying localities.

There is a 60 percent (medium) chance of heavy showers or thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon in a few areas.

Conditions will become settled by nightfall with just a few lingering showers. Gusty winds, street/flash flooding are likely near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Caution: Adverse Weather Alert #2 – Yellow Level in effect until 8:00 pm Wednesday 18th September 2019.

For the Northern Windwards and Leewards:

Predominantly hot and sunny conditions are expected despite the brisk light shower occurring at times. Tonight will be mostly clear.

Seas are moderate with waves between 1.5 and two metres in open waters and near one metre and at times choppy in sheltered areas.

 

Caution: Northerly long period swells are expected to agitate sea conditions near northern and western coastlines.
