Trinidad and Tobago’s weather: Showers ahead

The public is advised to prepare for more adverse weather due to an Adverse Weather Alert issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Office.

The weather alert, issued from Wednesday midday to Thursday at 2:00 pm, warned of occasional heavy showers, thunderstorms and possible street and/or flash flooding with gusty winds.

Here’s a look at today’s weather, courtesy the Met Office:

Partly cloudy to cloudy and breezy conditions with light to moderate showers in some areas. There is the 20% (low) chance of heavier showers or thunderstorm activity in few areas.

Conditions would gradually settle from mid-afternoon into the evening, giving way to a mostly fair night.

CAUTION: STREET/FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY IN HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND IN THE EVENT OF A THUNDERSTORM, GUSTY WINDS CAN BE EXPECTED.

Adverse Weather Alert #2 Yellow Level is in effect.

Generally sunny, hazy and breezy conditions despite a few brief showers. Nighttime will be mostly fair despite the odd shower.
