TSTT CEO resigns after 14 years at company
The Chief Executive Officer of the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (TSTT), Dr Ronald Walcott, has resigned effective October 1.
This was announced via statement from the Board of Directors on Tuesday.
“Dr Ronald Walcott who, after six years as CEO of the company, is moving on to pursue other career opportunities,” the release said.
Lisa Agard will act as his replacement.
Dr Walcott worked with TSTT for a total of 14 years. He was credited for leading the development and implementation of a five-year organisational transformation initiative that took the company into the digital arena.
According to the statement, Dr Walcott said: "Having overseen the implementation of our 2016-2021 Strategic Plan, I think now is the right time for me to step away and for new leadership to steer the company through the next phase of its development. There are other challenges I would like to pursue."
TSTT's Chairman Sean Roach thanked the CEO for his stewardship during what he said was a challenging period for TSTT.
