TT RideShare driver robbed

A 31-year-old TT RideShare driver was robbed on Sunday afternoon in Belmont.

Police were told around 12:30 pm on Sunday, the driver received a request for a pick up at Archer Street, Belmont.

When the driver arrived at the location, three men entered the vehicle.

One of the men was armed with a weapon which resembled a firearm.

The men announced a robbery and relieved the 31-year-old driver of his cash, cellular phone and his vehicle.

The vehicle, a white Hyundai Creta, was recovered on Monday morning during police exercises conducted by officers of the Port of Spain Division.

The vehicle was found abandoned along Quarry Street, Laventille around 1:40 am.

No arrests were made.
