TTCG offers condolences on death of officer
The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG) offered condolences after an officer passed away on Friday morning.
The TTCG said that around 10:50 am Friday, it learned of the death of Leading Seaman Thomas K, who served in the TTCG for almost 14 years.
“At approximately 10:50 a.m. on Fri 13th July 2018, Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard learned of the untimely passing of 6576 Leading Seaman Thomas K. 6576 LS Thomas K enlisted in the Coast Guard on 4th November 2004 and served his country with distinction for almost 14 years.”
“On behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff Commodore Hayden Pritchard, the Commanding Officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard, Captain Douglas Archer and by extension the Officers, men and women of all Defence Force Formations, we would like to express our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of LS Thomas during this difficult time,” the TTCG said.
According to initial reports, the officer fell ill after training around the Queen’s Park Savannah on Friday morning and later passed away.
Thomas was 37 years of age and a loving father of two children.
