T&TEC work at Central water treatment plant to cause supply disruption

Some residents in Central Trinidad can expect a disruption in their water supplies on Thursday, as the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) carries out planned maintenance works at the Carlsen Field Water Treatment Plant.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) on Tuesday advised that the interruption to facilitate the works will take place between 8 am and 4 pm.
Areas affected include:
- Carlsen Field
- Thompson Road
- Cashew Gardens
- Success Trace
- Arena Road
- La Quesa Road to Upper Siewdass Road
Along Mission Road from the Freeport overpass to Siewdass Road junction, including Christian Village and all side streets.
Following the resumption of operations at the Plant it may take between six to eight hours for the supply to affected areas to normalise.
