TTFA suspends training of national teams due to COVID-19
There will not be any training sessions of Trinidad and Tobago’s national football teams for the next 14 days due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) made the announcement on Friday saying they took this decision after the twin-island nation confirmed its first case of COVID-19, yesterday, and CONCACAF's suspension of the Scotiabank Champions League.
In a statement, the TTFA said: “Head coaches and managers have been asked to disseminate this information to all players and to remain in daily contact with them and other team staff in order to monitor their health status, specifically with regard to the presentation of coronavirus symptoms. Should anyone in their family and/or their team present such symptoms, they have been directed to immediately inform TTFA for immediate action.”
The association will give another update later today regarding T&T’s participation in upcoming international events.
