TTMS: Adverse weather alert warns of heavy showers, thunderstorms

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has advised that an active inter-tropical convergence zone is expected to produce intermittent heavy showers and thunderstorms over some areas.

As such, an adverse weather alert, yellow level, is in effect.

This began around 10 am on Wednesday and is forecast to end around 8 pm on Friday.

According to the MET Office, this can lead to flash flooding, gusty winds and landslides/landslips.

Members of the public are urged to monitor weather conditions and official updates.
