TTPS discloses traffic and security arrangements for CPL semis, finals

The police service is seeking to advise the public of the following traffic and security arrangements for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Semi-Final match on Friday 14th September 2018, and the Final on Sunday 16th September 2018, which are both scheduled to take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

Motorists are advised that there will be no parking allowed on the Solomon Hochoy Highway from the Gasparillo Overpass to the Ste Madeleine/Corinth Overpass.

Wrecking in this area will be in full effect and vehicles found in breach of the parking restriction would be towed to the impound lot at Coosals Compound, Brian Lara Link Road, Gasparillo. ‘Sober Zones’ will be located at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy where persons can have their alcohol levels tested.

DUI enforcement exercises will be carried out on both days of the event.

While there will be a large contingent of police officers present, both in uniform and plainclothes, motorists are reminded to properly secure their vehicles and to avoid leaving valuables in their vehicles when parked.

Members of the public are urged to obey all instructions and directions given by officers as they work to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at the matches.
