TTPS gets 10 horses from Europe for crime fighting

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has received 10 warmbloods horses from Holland.

The horses arrived last Friday and were handed over to the Mounted Branch.

These mounts, which have already been trained, are now in quarantine. After their acclimatization and further training, they will be deployed for patrol, escort duties, and in the fight against crime.

Warmbloods are a group of middle-weight horse types bred primarily in Europe and registered with organizations that are characterized by open studbook policy, studbook selection, and the aim of breeding for equestrian sport.
