TTPS give out Christmas hampers

Northern Division officers have been spreading some Christmas cheer this year, by distributing hampers and gifts to persons in need.

The initiative was conducted under the supervision of the head of the division Snr Sup Daniel, with aid from a team of officers from the Arouca Police Station, the Child Protective Services, the Consumer Relations department, and much more.

It was said that the officers, over the course of their duties for the past year, have observed persons who were in need and having a difficult time, and as a result, a decision was made to render assistance as far as possible.

This initiative included purchasing hampers of food items and toys for children in the community.

The officers said the objective of the police service was not only to protect, but to serve, and in the yuletide season, there was no better way to serve than to bring aid and joy to their fellow man.

Among the officers who provided aid were ASP Matthews Inspector Greene, WPC Gomez- Bobb, and WPC Fredericks.
