The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has been able to claim a victory of their own in this year’s Local Government Elections. Citizens enjoyed a mostly incident free voting experience.
Speaking at the TTPS Media Briefing, Public Information Officer, Wayne Mystar revealed that the Service deployed 3907 police officers across voting districts. 91 per cent of officers turned up for work.
Officers were able to cover 2,105 polling stations, 139 electoral districts, and 47 returning centres.
Mystar did explain that there was one minor incident near the Lendore Village Primary School which operated as a polling station, where one man was arrested for disorderly behavior. He was taken to the Chaguanas Police Station.
