One of the accused in the murder of Donald Marcano, Cornelius La Borde, was due in court on Wednesday.
A Maraval man was expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate Wednesday, charged with the murder of Donald Marcano and kidnapping of a teenage relative of the victim on October 24.
Cornelius La Borde, 26, of Morne Roche Road, Maraval, was also charged with possession of firearm and ammunition, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard on Monday.
A second suspect, Roger Holder, 39, of Hilltop Drive, Maraval, who is jointly charged with the offences, was not expected to appear in court today, due to being hospitalised.
He was being questioned by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 1, at Riverside Plaza, Port of Spain on Saturday, when he allegedly jumped from the 11th floor of the building, in an apparent suicide attempt.
Mr. Marcano, 35, of Hilltop Drive, Maraval, was at his home on Tuesday 24th October, 2017, when two armed assailants entered and fired several shots at him.
The victim died at the scene.
Holder and La Borde were charged by PC Sheldon Norman of Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 1, on Tuesday.
