Two in court for robbing supermarket

Two men have appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate charged with robbing a supermarket in February.

The accused are Dennis Williams, 33, and Jevon Cedeno 21.

Both men, said to be from Los Bajos, Santa Flora, are charged with robbing the Sunkist Supermarket in Phillipine of $2,000 in cash and a carton of cigarettes on February 18.

PC Kerry Buchoon of the San Fernando CID charged the two for the offence.

Williams faced an additional charge of making a false report to the police claiming his vehicle had been stolen while knowing it had not been.

Williams was placed on bail at $75,000 and Cedeno at $100,000 as he had a pending case of a similar nature in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court.
