Two in court for stolen vehicle

Two men are expected to appear before the courts today after they were held with a stolen vehicle.

The men were held during a police operation along Punette Avenue, of Pinto Road, Arima.

According to police reports, at about 3.10 am Wednesday, PC Henry and PC Skeete were on patrol in the Arima community, when they received information that men were seen liming along Punette Avenue, with firearms.

Upon arriving at the area, the officers observed a group of men liming near two parked cars – a white Nissan B14 and a grey Nissan Wingroad. The men, on seeing the police, attempted to feel the scene.

The officers pursued the group and were able to detain two of the suspects. The vehicles were then seized and traced. One of the cars was found to have fake license plates and had been reported stolen St James district on August 1.
