Two escapees who escaped from prison earlier this month have been captured.
The men were found along Ralph Narine Trace, South Oropouche, on Saturday evening.
Minister of National Security, Stuart Young, commended the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and other national security agencies for their hard work.
His statement is as follows:
"I would like to thank and commend the men and women of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF), Trinidad and Tobago Prisons Service and our Intelligence services for their commitment and team work in recapturing the last two escaped prisoners."
"The continued multi agency efforts are bearing fruit in the difficult and dangerous fight against crime," he said.
Michael Findlay and Olatunji Denbow were two of eight men who carried out a daring prison break at the Golden Grove Prison on May 15, 2019.
