Two Happy Hill men arrested for $12,000 worth of marijuana

Two men have been arrested and a quantity of marijuana seized by officers of the South Western Division during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the district on Sunday night.

Police were reportedly on mobile patrol along Quinam Road, Siparia when they stopped and search a white Laurel motor vehicle with two male occupants.

The search resulted in officers finding 1.2 kilogrammes of marijuana in three plastic bags which were on the back seat.

The drug has an estimated street value of $12,000.

The two suspects; a 39-year-old and a 32-year-old, both of Happy Hill, Siparia, were arrested in connection with the find.
