Two held for robbery in Tobago

Two men were arrested and the search is underway for three others who are wanted in connection with a report of robbery with violence against a 40-year-old Tobago man on Friday morning.

The victim told police he was at Milford Road, Crown Point, around 2:30 am on Friday 15 February, when he was approached by five men. The victim said he managed to run off, but shortly after, a grey Honda CRV motor vehicle stopped in front of him and the same five men exited and demanded that he hand over his valuables.

The assailants allegedly dealt the victim several blows about the head and body before they relieved him of a quantity of cash, a cellular phone, and a phone case before escaping.

A report was made to the police and the vehicle was subsequently intercepted with two male suspects: a 33-year-old of Prospect Park and a 25-year-old of Signal Hill, who were arrested in connection with the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
