Two injured in Arouca shooting
A shooting incident in Arouca on Tuesday night has left two men nursing gunshot injuries.
Thankfully the injuries are not said to be life-threatening.
The victims, aged 57 and 37, were said to be at a shop along Kisskidee Crescent, Arouca, around 7.40 pm, when they were confronted by a gunman.
The assailant shot at the duo without warning and fled the scene on foot.
The police and paramedics were notified and the injured parties were rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for treatment.
The 57-year-old was shot to his right hip and right leg.
The 37-year-old was shot to both of his lower legs.
Three spent shells were recovered at the scene of the shooting

Shooting in Morvant leaves one injured
In a separate incident, a 32-year-old man is warded at the Port of Spain General Hospital following a shooting incident Wednesday afternoon in Mon Repos, Morvant.
The victim, who is from Malick Barataria, was shot to his upper torso and back.
His injuries are thankfully not life-threatening.
Police suspect the victim was shot in a robbery gone wrong, as the gunman was at the time trying to relieve the victim of his car.
