Updated: SEA top scorers from San Juan, Chaguanas schools

Saiesh Rampersad had a perfect score in all subject areas.

Saiesh Rampersad had a perfect score in all subject areas.

This year's top Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) student has come from the Ghandi Memorial Vedic School.

Saiesh Rampersad scored 100 percent in all of the subject areas of the exam.

Education Minister Anthony Garcia made the annoucement at the school today.

The second placed student, Jada Ramnath, also came from Ghandi Memorial Vedic School.

Saiesh passed for his first choice of Presentation College in Chaguanas, while Jada will attend St. Augustine Girls' High School.

Two female students from the Chaguanas Government Primary School, Rebekah Macoon and Kavel Pereira, tied for third place.

Rebekah will join Jada at the St Augustine Girls' High School, while Kavel passed for Holy Faith Convent.

Garcia specially congratulated the school for its hard work, noting that denominational schools usually top the exams. He added that Government schools have been performing well in recent time.
