Update: Manzanilla murder victims identified

Update November 5, 2018 at 10:00 am:

The second victim from Manzanilla’s double murder has been identified.

The deceased is 32-year-old Emile Coker AKA “Shrek” from Palm Road, Valencia.

He was identified by relatives and as a result, an autopsy was carded to take place on Monday at the Forensic Science Center in St James.

The other victim was previously identified as 26-year-old Cruz Gomez, of Clarence Trace, Valencia.

The discovery was made at about 3:00 pm on Saturday along the Manzanilla Road, in the vicinity of the Mitan Bridge.

The two bodies were found in some bushes near the roadway.

Police believe that the men may have been killed elsewhere and their bodies were dumped over the bridge.

The bullet-riddled bodies of two men were discovered in Manzanilla on Saturday afternoon.

Up to midday on Sunday, only one of the victims had been positively identified.

The deceased is 26-year-old Cruz Gomez, of Clarence Trace, Valencia.

Police believe they have an identity for the second victim, however, this had not been confirmed with relatives.

The discovery was made around 3 pm along the Manzanilla Road, near the Mitan Bridge.

The two bodies were found in some bushes near the roadway.

Police believe that the men may have been killed elsewhere and their bodies were dumped over the bridge.
