Two shot during argument near Brian Lara Cricket Academy
Two men were shot on Sunday morning near the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba.
According to police reports, the incident took place at about 4:00 am on Sunday outside of the stadium.
There was said to be an argument between two parties of people, during which, one of the men in the conflict pulled out a firearm and shot several times in the direction of the opposing group.
The assailant, and his friends, then fled the scene.
In the aftermath, two persons were shot in the incident.
The police and emergency health services were notified and the two wounded men were rushed for medical treatment.
Thankfully, the injuries sustained were not said to be life-threatening.
One of the men was discharged during the day, while the other victim – a 26-year-old man from Longdenville – remains warded up to this morning.
Ste Madeleine police are continuing investigations.
LoopTT was told that police have several leads for this incident and arrests should be imminent.
