Two women tied up, robbed in Barrackpore home invasion

Southern Division Police are investigating a report of a home invasion along Rochard Douglas Road, Barrackpore, Thursday afternoon.

According to police reports, the victims – two women aged 60 and 21 – were at the home when they were approached by three men.

All three men were armed with firearms, with one of the men having a mask over his face.

The suspect announced a holdup and ordered the women into a room, where they were both tied up.

The assailants proceeded to rob them of $12,000 in cash, as well as a quantity of jewellery, value to be ascertained.

The men then escaped in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer in a westerly direction along the said road.

The women untied themselves and notified police.

The descriptions of the suspects have been given as -

Suspect 1 – African descent,  6 feet tall, red skin, stocky built, clad in a white vest,  ¾  pants, slippers on feet, tattoo on his left hand, beard and short hairstyle.

Suspect 2 – African descent,  5 feet 8 inches tall, platted hairstyle, stripped t-shirt, black ¾ pants, clean shaven, slim build.

Suspect 3 – mask over face, dark skin, clad in black clothing, hat on his head, and slim built.

Anyone with information which could lead to the arrests of these individuals are asked to contact the Barrackpore Police Station, or give the information anonymously through 555 or 800-TIPS.
