UNC hosts budget 2019 consultations
The United National Congress (UNC) will be continuing its nationwide Budget 2019 consultations ahead of the reading of the 2018-2019 Budget which is scheduled for Monday. The Party will use the next week to meet with as many citizens as possible.
UNC Senator and Public Relations Officer Anita Haynes issued a statement on Friday, noting that public consultation is important to improve this country’s current system of governance.
“We have seen an enthusiastic response from the public, thousands of persons throughout the entire country, have come out to share their concerns, and the lack of services they have received from the Government.”
She said thus far, members of the public have expressed dissatisfaction with the current regime.
“The main theme of the contributions from the public has been that no one is better off since this Rowley administration has come into power.”
Haynes said consultations will take place over the weekend adding that persons interested in national development, improving their communities and moving Trinidad and Tobago forward to participate are invited.
