The US Embassy has advised that anyone who has paid the visa application processing fee, also known as the MRV fee, will have it remain valid until December 31, 2021.

In a statement today, the Embassy explained that this means applicants who have been unable to schedule a visa appointment as a result of the suspension of routine consular operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be able to schedule and/or attend a visa appointment until December 31, 2021, using their already-paid fee.

Applicants are advised to stay tuned to the Embassy’s website and social media pages for updates on when the embassy will return to routine visa operations.
