US$50,000 for hole-in-one in Golf For Life tournament

The Rotary Club of St Augustine will be hosting its 10th Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 3 rd 2020 at the Millennium Lakes Golf and Country Club in Trincity. 

This event popularly referred to as “GOLF FOR LIFE”, is a major fundraiser for the Club, and this year the proceeds will go toward its Disease Prevention and Literacy Projects.

A special feature of this event is a “Hole in One” prize of US$50,000.00 on the 17th hole which all golfers have a chance to win.

It has not been achieved in the history of the tournament and the organizers hope that this would change this year.

The golf tournaments’ target is thirty-four (34) teams of two (2) golfers who will compete for attractive prizes.

The tournament format is “Two Ball Better ball” with players using 7/8 of their handicap and scoring being done by the Stableford method.

In keeping with recommended COVID-19 Mitigation Protocols, this year, the event will have tee times from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. 

Golfers will remain in their vehicles during registration where their temperature will be recorded and they will receive their tournament bags, scorecards, and rule sheets. 

Players are only allowed to go to their first tee ten (10) minutes before their scheduled tee time.
