UWI students to benefit from advertising industry partnership
Students at the University of the West Indies (UWI) St Augustine campus will be able to benefit from a new two-year partnership between the UWI and the Advertising Association of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT).
In a release, the UWI said the two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 16 for a two-year partnership which is expected to produce data-driven solutions to real-world challenges faced by the local advertising industry.
Pro Vice-Chancellor and St. Augustine Campus Principal, Professor Brian Copeland, and AAATT President, Anthony Inglefield signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) committing their organisations to a two-year research partnership.
The agreement will see the AAATT annually propose topics for research to be undertaken by The UWI’s undergraduate and postgraduate Management Studies students.
Students will benefit from AAATT-facilitated access to member organisations to conduct research for the completion of their courses of study. Research output will be evaluated by a panel of representatives from both
The UWI and AAATT and where practical, submitted for journal publication subject to the confidentiality clauses outlined in the MoU.
The Department of Management Studies will manage the execution of the partnership on behalf of The UWI.
