Valve replacement to leave North Central without water on Friday

Citizens served by the Caura Water Treatment Plant are advised of a planned interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Friday.

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) on Wednesday advised that the disruption will take between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.

During this time, work to replace a defective 12-inch valve at the corner of Karamath Street and Caura Royal Road, El Dorado, will be ongoing.

Areas to be affected include:

Areas North of Eastern Main Road, from El Dorado Road, Tunapuna to Crown Street, Tacarigua including: Pentecostal Road, College Road, Caura Hospital, Caura Royal Road, parts of Orange Grove Road, Paradise Gardens, Dinsley Gardens.

WASA reminded residents that it may take up to 12 hours for the service to normalise to some affected areas in accordance with established water supply schedules.
