Vehicle stolen from ex-journalist recovered

Police are continuing their inquiries into a robbery in which a vehicle was stolen from former TV anchor Colleen Holder on Sunday.

The incident was said to have taken place around 10pm on Sunday at her home in Arima.

It was said that as she was in the driveway of her home, she was held up at gunpoint by armed assailants.

The men took the car, as well as her cellular phone, and escaped.

The vehicle, a Toyota RAV4 cross-over, was said to have been found abandoned on Duncan Street, Port of Spain, on Tuesday morning.

The vehicle was taken to the Besson Street Police Station, where it is being kept by officers until it has been dusted for fingerprints by crime scene investigators.

In social media posts, Holder thanked the officers for recovering the vehicle in less than 48 hours after the incident occurred saying, “God is indeed great”.
