Vehicle stolen in San Juan after victim goes for food

Police are once again calling on members of the public not to make themselves easy targets for criminal elements.

This reminder comes after the vehicle of a 27-year-old man was stolen after he left it idling on the Eastern Main Road.

The victim told police that at about 11.45pm on Friday, he parked his silver Nissan Sentra PDK 8970 along the Eastern Main Road, in the vicinity of Silvermill, San Juan.

The man left the car – said to have a value of $150,000 – idling along the roadway and went inside a nearby restaurant.

Upon returning a short time later, he found the vehicle missing.

He gave no one permission to remove the car.

The police were notified and officers from the North Eastern Division responded.

PC Berkley is continuing inquiries.

More on this as it becomes available.
