Venezuelan national robbed at gunpoint

Arima police are investigating a report where a 23-year-old Venezuelan national was robbed at gunpoint last night.

The victim told police that around 7.45 pm he was walking along Hollis Avenue, Arima, when a red Nissan Almera pulled up alongside him.

A man armed with a firearm exited the vehicle and announced a hold up.

He then robbed the victim of his cash and valuables.

The bandit, police were told, grabbed the victim’s bag which also contained his immigration permit, passport, and driver’s permit.

The suspect then returned to the vehicle and drove off and escaped. 

The victim raised an alarm and was taken to the Arima police station where a report was made.
