Venezuelan woman killed in Waterloo, police hunt for shooter

A Venezuelan woman was shot and killed on Saturday morning in Waterloo.

The deceased has been identified as Evelyn Rojas.

According to police reports, at about 2:30 am today, residents of Ojah Maraj Avenue, Waterloo, heard several loud explosions.

Upon investigating, they found Rojas bleeding from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The police and paramedics were notified, and officers from the Central Division and the Homicide Bureau responded.

However, Rojas succumbed to her injuries.

From initial information, police are searching for a Venezuelan man who is suspected to have been the shooter.
