VIDEO: Dolphin pod swims in Castara Bay

Video footage of a school of dolphins was shared by a tour guide in Tobago, causing excitement among citizens.

The video, which was shared to social media by Tobago tour guide Errol Roach, showed the beautiful creatures as they swam in Castara Bay, approximately one mile from land.

Roach filmed the pod, which, some said, are regular visitors to the bay.

Dolphins are regularly spotted in and around the waters of Trinidad and Tobago and consist of many types, including the Risso's dolphin, short-beaked common dolphin, Striped dolphin and Spinner dolphin.

Dolphins are protected animals under the Conservation of Wildlife Act
