Vincentian among three held during Morvant raid

Three people, including a St Vincent national, were held during police operations in the Morvant district on Thursday.

The operations took place between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Thursday, and were conducted by officers of the North Eastern Division.

The officers were supervised by Snr Sup Phillip, Sup Johnson, ASP Doodai, Sgt Guelmo, Cpl Pierre, Cpl Constantine, PC Campbell, PC Andrews, PC Cudjoe, PC Delpino, and several others.

The officers conducted searches in areas in Morvant such as Saw Mill Avenue, Never Dirty, and Romain Lands.

An area in Upper Eight Avenue, Malick, was also searched.

In total, the officers seized 2.86 kilogrammes of marijuana, 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and a quantity of camouflage clothing.

Three persons were held.

Two were held for possession of 666 grammes of marijuana. These drugs, LoopTT was told, have a street value of $35,000.

The St Vincent national was detained for questioning on a variety of offences.
