Vox Pop:Do you agree with Massy's decision to charge for plastic bags?
Created : 24 April 2018
Massy Stores Trinidad announced earlier today that, effective July 4, customers will be charged 50 cents for each shopping bag they use.
The move is an attempt to cut down on the use of plastic bags. The supermarket giant is instead encouraging its customers to shop with reusable bags and will be implemented in conjunction with International Plastic Bag Free Day on July 3.
Globally, there have been many attempts and initiatives put in place to help reduce waste and our carbon footprint.
We asked citizens if they supported the move.
