WASA advises of disruption in North East Trinidad on Sunday
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of North-East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant that there will be an interruption in their water supply on Sunday.
This will take place between the hours of 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.
WASA says this has become necessary due to a planned power outage by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC), in order to carry out utility relocation works associated with the Valencia to Toco Roadway Project.
It said similar works are also expected to be undertaken by T&TEC in the same area on March 8.
Areas affected include: Sangre Grande, Vega De Oropouche, Toco Road, Sangre Chiquito, Manzanilla, Coalmine, Guaico/ Guaico Tamana, Malabar Phases 1, 3 & 4, Tumpuna Road/ San Rafael, Brazil, La Horquetta, Carapo/ O’Meara Road, Signature Park/ Mausica Road, Maloney, Five Rivers, Oropune Gardens, Millennium Park/ Sunrise Park and Golden Grove Road.
The Authority added that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalise to some affected areas following resumption of production at the facility.
For further information or assistance, customers can contact WASA's Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.
