WASA advises of disruption from St. Joseph to Tunapuna following quake

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers served by the Valsayn Highlift Station that there will be a disruption in their pipe borne water supply from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.

WASA says this has become necessary in order to carry out emergency repair works at the facility caused by the recent seismic activity.

Areas affected include: All areas along the Eastern Main Road from St. Joseph to El Dorado Road, Tunapuna including: St. Joseph, Curepe and St. Augustine, with all side streets such as Abercombery Street, St. John's Road, Riverside Road, St. Benedicts Gardens, Auzonville Road, Tunapuna Road.

Customers are further advised that following the completion of these works, it may take up to 8 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.
