WASA: Pt Lisas Desal Plant restarted; water on the way

Residents without water in parts of South and Central Trinidad can look forward to relief soon.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said the Point Lisas Desalination Plant which had been shut down on Wednesday, has undergone the necessary repairs and the facility was at full production of 40 million gallons daily, as at 9.00 am Thursday.
Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 to 36 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas in keeping with established schedules.
