WASA warns South East residents to brace for water woes

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of South East Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Friday.

This is scheduled to take place between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm.

According to the authority, emergency repair works will take place during this time to fix a ruptured 800-millimetre diameter transmission pipeline along St John’s Road, Piparo. 

Areas to be affected include: 

Libertville,

Tableland,

Robert Village,

New Grant,

Hardbargain, 

St Julien,

Indian Walk St Mary’s Village,

Fifth Company,

Cunjal,

Cumuto,

Whiteland,

Poonah,

Piparo,

Morne Roche,

Princes Town,

Iere Village,

Buen Intento,

Malgretoute,

Williamsville,

Barrackpore,

Monkey Town,

Bronte and

Borde Narve

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe-borne water supply schedules.
