Watch: 3 injured after roulette machine set on fire

Three persons had to seek medical treatment on Sunday after a man set fire to a roulette machine in Curepe.

The incident took place at a bar along Bassie Street, Curepe, around 7:00 pm Sunday.

Police were told that a man walked into the bar with a canister of gasoline.


Before he could be stopped, he poured gasoline onto a roulette machine in the bar, and set it afire.

Three persons at the bar attempted to prevent this, and due to their proximity, suffered burn injuries.

Two of the victims were treated and discharged, while a 52-year-old man remains warded at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

Police are currently searching for the suspect.
