Michelle Lee Ahye turned in a stellar performance to retain her national championship title at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on Saturday.
The star-studded event in its second day saw Ahye winning the women’s 100 m final in a time of 11.18 seconds with Kelly-Ann Baptiste taking the silver in a time of 11.22 seconds and Kamaria Durant the bronze in 11.30 seconds.
In the men’s 100m final, Keston Bledman retained his national title, stopping the clock at 10.20 seconds, the silver went to Jereem Richards who clocked 10.22 and Rondell Sorillo copped the bronze with a time of 10.23.
In the men’s 400m final it was all about Machel Cedenio who clocked a blistering 44.52 seconds, his fastest time this season. Dwight St Hillaire copped the silver with a time of 46.08 with Darren Alfred taking the bronze medal with a time of 46.63.
In the women’s 400m final, Rae-Ann Serville topped the field with a time of 53.57, Samantha Dirks of Belize finished in a time 53.88 to take the silver while Sade Sealy of Barbados stopped the clock at 55.29 to take the bronze medal.
